I feel that the term “flipping” a home is realy a misunderstood term. To buy a home at a reasonable value and to resell it for a profit IS what a real estate broker does. This is flipping a home. Where I think people get the misunderstanding, is that the term has been used lately to mean “Buy a house for nothing, and sell it for millions, no work involved, just send me $97.00 right now.”.
I don’t think that this mentality helps anyone other than the ebook seller. If he was so good at it, I would think that he would spend every minute of his day awake flipping homes, instead of selling a $100 product/service. The numbers just don’t work out to the ebook making him more money, unl;ess he is lying in his ecourse about how easy it is to “flip” a home.
I do think that right now is an excellent time to buy a home, if you plan on keeping it. Rates are right, and if you have credit, then the reverse morrtage market is not as much of a temptation. But to “flip” ahome, in the rapid and simple way that it is prtrayed, is going to be one heck of a tough job in the current market. People are going to be looking for the stability of a banker and an agent, not a rent to own, or fixer up, income generator.
