Web 2.0 will allow us as agents to interact with the consumer on a personal level. The consumer can ask questions and get answers relevant to their needs.  Instead of having a TV commercial spew ads at them, they can control the information on a “as needed” basis.

I think that the number one way that web2.0 will influence the real estate market is through the social networking tools that are now out there. Insurance, real estate, and travel are three areas that I think are falling behind in the social media arena that do not have to be. The idea of network referrals and word of mouth are the backbones of these industries, and that is where web2.0 could be throwing even the novice ahead of his competition if he could only harness a small amount of the social media networks referring potential.

I know I can appreciate the fact the Web2.0 information is specific. When I’m looking for something in particular, I don’t want to be bogged down with unrelated information. Having tailored information delivered to the client also helps them focus on their needs and wants.

Web 2.0 will take some tech savy by all of us and by and large we are not too advanced. Those that take the time to understand what it means to be an agent in the web 2.0 world will be the winners.

I think people appreciate the extra help web2.0 offers. If they have a specific idea of what they want, they will find it. If they don’t, though, they can possibly be led to a site that they wouldn’t have otherwise found.
