Finding a niche topic can be hard for some but I think that the thing you should consider doing is finding out which keywords are most searched. This will give you an idea on what you woul dbe successful in writing about. Most people research and read about money, business and health. And or anything to do with the web. If you can put together an informative site that can catch readers as well askeep them, then you are on your way.

Express yourself through writing blogs. If you want your blog to become the best of all the rest, be creative in writing. You can write about politics, travels, fashions, foods, music, sports and many more.

I think those varied topics could add interest to any blog. I assume that most people hanging out here would be interested in appealing to the real estate market.

Maybe links to virtual tours of homes on the market or local places of interest would be worthwhile.

People are losing sight of waht blogs were originally all about and that was as an online diary. This has been superceeded by commercialism. I have personal and commercial blogs

Good point Terry!  It is true...it was meant to be an online diary. Some peoples lives are so interesting that it keeps readers intrigued!  It is a good idea to have a personal and commercial blog. You must be pretty busy keeping up on both of them. Do you post something every day or a few times a week?

I could not agree with your more. I have a friend who used to have a great blog now it is as if her topic changes every day! It drives me nuts.

Just out of curiosity, how many people here visit a blog regularly, and how many blogs do you keep track of?

There is only a couple blogs that I visit regularly.  I normally bump into them while searching for things and then post if I get interested.

Having links to other relevant sites like virtual tours are important. You would want your readers to keep going back to your blog for more information. That way, you ensure that they won’t get tired of your blog. They know that they will always get new information from you.

Ricardo - that is a very good point.  I would think people here would be more interested in blogging to further their real estate businesses and perhaps attract new clients in this volatile market.  Virtual home tours are a fabulous idea.  I’ve been considering adding information about home improvement and landscaping: give the clients some excitement about everything that comes with owning a home.

You should definitely write about something that you are interested in.  If you are only writing about something because you think it sells, then it will show in the writing!
