I think being a real estate agent would really need a lot of patience and determination in order for you to close a deal. It’s not easy and I’m sure there are a lot of real estate agents who are often frustrated. Did you ever think about changing jobs? Or was it because you already have a license that you thought you cannot change jobs that easily so you stick to it?

Is being a real estate agent Frustrating?  I have been interested in this field for a while.  In fact, I am just recently in property management in hopes of gaining more information on the real estate side too.

Well that is just my opinion based on the fact that the market is very volatile. You always have to deal with people and that is not easy.

I used to be in a customer service so I’m used to being patient. Yes I would have to agree that you need a lot of those as a real state agent. This is most especially when you are faced with a very meticulous client. In my opinion, having a license should not keep you from changing job when you feel you’re doing good at the present job you’re in. I believe we always have a choice. Like you said, determination is the key.

Sometimes I really get so frustrated that instead of wanting to change job, I’m thinking of totally quitting my job and just start my own business. I mean doing different things, so as to get a different result. I just hope to find a business that would suit my personality. LOL! LOL

I have a friend in the business, and he has gotten frustrated to the point that he is looking for another line of work. This economy is killing a lot of businesses, and Real Estate is looking like it is on the block.

Yes, that is another thing, the economy. Any business i think would always depend on the economy. Also there are non-seasonal businesses, still economy is a big factor.

I’ve known people in the business over the years, and I’d say that it definitely requires a specific type of personality and organization skills to succeed in the business.

And I agree, the economy can help or hinder your efforts.

Being a real estate agent requires just as much drive and determination as any other sales based job does.  That is why they charge the commission that they do, because it takes a while to close a sale.
